This undescribed Ceriporia sp. was collected at Sheffield Park, East Sussex, on the underside of an Alnus log near a river. It resembles the American species Ceriporia spissa but, based on analysis of the ITS region, it is a separate species. It has little allantiod spores and a golden yellow resin-like substance which makes microscopy difficult.
